Dr. Grashika Devendra
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, DNP, PMHNP-BC, APRN
Psychiatry for me is healing. One’s treatment should include innovation, with different modalities, therapies, and medication management. For me, knowing the patient and customizing care to their needs is important. Therapeutic connection is important. Holistic approach is very important. With over 15 years of experience in psychiatry, I have worked in many different environments such as corrections, county mental health, forensics, TeleHealth, inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings. I also teach psychotherapy and psychiatry to future doctoral level psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and provide guidance as needed. I have presented at Summit of Psychiatry in Los Angeles in 2019 and have published my article for early detection of mental illnesses in a correctional setting. My approach is always customized to my patients needs. I see patients for initial psychiatric evaluations, follow ups, medication prescribing and management as well as therapy modalities.
"My goal is to make a difference in one’s mental health and wellbeing. And to continue providing exceptional patient care to my patients."
