“My clinical philosophy focuses on integrating psychological well-being with physical health through a holistic approach that involves recognizing how mental and emotional states impact physical health and vice versa. A key component is to understand interdependence and acknowledge that mental health issues (like stress, anxiety, and depression) can manifest physically (like chronic pain, fatigue) and that physical ailments can affect emotional well-being.” When she is not seeing patients, Shicara enjoys reading, watching historical documentaries, and traveling the world. She also enjoys volunteering to help underserved medical communities and spending time with her daughter. |
