​Clarity’s story starts in early 2020, when my wife of 20 years was diagnosed with a massive brain tumor. We were blessed to receive the highest level of medical care by Dr. Mitchel Berger and his topflight team at UCSF Neurosurgery. They successfully removed the tumor, but tragically--the damage had already been done. Over the ensuing years, there have been ongoing physical ailments, cognitive issues, multiple surgeries, treatments, and hospitalizations. These events have led to immense stress, anxiety, and depression. We needed affordable and accessible mental health support, but I was appalled to discover just how hard it was to find this, especially in California. Working with my co-founder, distinguished psychiatrist Dr. Steven James, we crafted a solution that could serve the needs of many. And thus, Clarity was born. Clarity is dedicated to serving the mental health needs of ordinary people facing extraordinary physical challenges. We provide mental health care that cares in the most accessible, affordable, and effective manner possible. Our goal is to help our patients see improvements in both their today and tomorrow through the power of mental wellness.
