Steven P. James, MD, MBA is a veteran of over three decades in pharmaceutical research and medical education and is a Lifetime Fellow of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Sleep Medicine. Throughout his career Dr. James has been engaged in clinical practice in addition to teaching internationally on topics of science and history.  Early in his career Dr. James trained in medicine and psychiatry at Cornell and Stanford, worked as a research physician at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMHH) and served on the medical faculty at the University of Pennsylvania.  After leaving academic medicine, he also worked as a senior pharmaceutical industry physician executive and educator.  He is an international author and recently published "A Clinician's Guide to Cannabinoid Science," published by Cambridge University press and has appeared on network TV on ABC's Good Morning America.  His second book on Cannabinoid Science is in final preparation and expected to publish later in 2023.
